Saklikent (Hidden City) Gorge
Saklikent gorge seems an anomaly in what you think would be a dry area of Turkey with so little rainfall during the summer months. Ice cold water surges through fissures in the mountain structure creating a river suitable for fun rafting and an escape from the heat on a hot day. The Gorge itself never sees much sun being up to 600 meters deep very narrow and appx 18 kilometers long. The first few hundred meters are on a board walk above the torrent but if you wish to walk the 18 kms bring a swimming costume as you need to wade across the river. A small entrance fee is charged.
After your hike there are some reasonably priced cafe/restaurants with platforms built out over the icy waters. Here also you can river raft and hire backpackers accommodation in the Trees?
Here are some photos and links to other sites.

Other ways of traveling to Saklikent. Dolmus from main otogar (bus station) in Fethiye. Very reasonable price. Taxi from Fethiye or other resorts. Driving? Take the Antalya road out of Fethyie. Do not take the turning to Kas but keep ahead and then turn right on smaller road appx 1 km. On route you will pass Kadikoy village where there is a large carpet weaving factory but done mostly by hand. Please Haggle Total distance from Fethiye appx 27miles 43km. It can be combined nicely with an early visit to Tlos, Yakapark water area and trout farm for lunch, and on to Saklikent
